Travel

Washington State:

Seattle-  Such a fun city, it has a style and culture all it's own.
Things to see:
Space Needle-

Pikes Place- In my mind one of the best things Seattle has to offer. I am from the area and everytime Im in Seattle I make sure to go to Pikes. It has a little of everything; fresh sea food, veggie, fruit, flowers, crafts... you name it. I highly recomend walking to the south side and watching the guys throwing the fish.

Gum Wall- This is super gross... and way cool at the same time. It's at Pikes Place; find the pig and then take the stairway down to an alley and there in that very alley you will find a wall covered in gum. I took this pictures of my brothers and the wall... such a fun day.

Gas Works Park- This is such a fun place to go and see Seattle. The park used to be a refinery (see picture) but has been turned into a beautiful park, it is located on on the North side of Seattle right on Lake Washington. I took this photo and if you look close you can see my shadow on the lower left side of the photo.

Troll Under the Bridge-

Snoqualmie Falls-

Rural Washington- I'm from the Great North West, just a hour north of Seattle. Here are some of my suggestions of places to check out you are looking for more outdoorsy sight seeing.

Places to go:

Ice Caves-  This is a 1 mile super easy hike.  The view Im showing you in this picture is the view from the trail head.  As you can see there is a series of Glaciers; that's what you are hiking to... Glaciers.  It's called "The Ice Caves" because these Glaciers have a natural cave that is formed by melting ice and air.  It's really amazing to see.

Mt. Pilchuck- This is one of my favorite Washington Hikes. It's about 5 miles total and is really beautiful once you get to this little hut on the top of the Mountain. From this point you can see the Puget Sound to the west and the Cascades to the east. It's a really beautiful hike and only moderately difficult.

Train Tunnels-

Deception Pass-

View of the coast from the parking lot at deception pass.

Skagit Valley Tullip Festival- Only help a few weeks out of the year.

Chuckanut Drive-

Olympic National Park:
Cresent Lake- Might possibly be the most beautiful lake on earth.

Second Beach, Rigalotto Beach and Ruby Beach- Amazing beaches with cool Haystack Rocks. (Note: People in WA dont swim in the ocean (strong tides and super cold water).  This picture is of Second Beach, it is on the Olympic Penninsula and is a beautiful beach.  The two tiny people you see in the background are my niece and my little brother (both about 5 years old at the time).

Ferry Rides:
San Juan Islands/Annacordas Ferry
Olympic National Park/Edmonds-Kingston Ferry
Whidbey Island/Mukelteo Ferry

Utah:
Salt Lake City-

National Parks-

Hawaii:
Oahu-The important thing to remember is that you are in Hawaii (A Tropical Paradise)!!!! Relax and do what you can, when you want to. Don't feel so rushed to do everything that you forget to just walk along the beach eating shaved ice and talking. Renting a car for a few days will be super helpful. I've Been two Oahu twice, the picture below is with my best friend after I graduated from college.

1. Hanama Bay - Closed Tuesdays

2. PCC I have done this twice and recommend you do the Lu'au and evening show. http://www.polynesia.com/
3. Hawaii Temple
4. Swap Meet Aloha Stadium - Open Wed. Sat. Sunday
This is the only place that I recommend you spend money for souvenirs http://www.alohastadiumswapmeet.net/

5. Pearl Harbor Memorial
The Memorial is really close to the Swap Meet. Remember to go early so you can maximize the time you are at the Swap Meet because it is huge.
9. Waikiki Beachhttp://www.hawaiiweb.com/oahu/beaches/waikiki_beach.htm

10. Dukes, Restaurant
This is a famous eatery on the Beach in Waikiki it might just be fun to say you ate there.http://www.dukeswaikiki.com/
Other fun things you can do...
12. Buddhist Temple, Byodo-in Temple (might want to stop by on your way to the PCC or on your drive to Waimea)http://www.traveltohawaiireviewed.com/oahu/attractions/byodo-in-temple.html
