I worked as a florest for two years, while I went to college. Since that time, I have done a few weddings and events for my close friends. Working with flowers is something I enjoy and also something I am really good at; it is a way for me to artistically express myself.

Modern Girl with Vintage Style

As a child I watched movies with Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn and Sandra Dee there was something so beautiful and alluring about how they dressed. It seemed to be an era where clothing was made to flatter the natural curves of a woman. To this day you can still watch a movie made from that time and think, "oh I love that outfit". When I was young the thing I wanted most, was to be a clothing designer so I could make beautiful clothing like the ones I saw in the old movies. Like most people I went to college and ended up working in a office. When I started the typical office clothing for women was either the boxy pant suits or the sexy aka racy work outfits. I wasn't the boxy matronly type or the flashy skin showing type, I was the classic vintage style mixed with contemporary. After years of frustration unable to find things that fit my body or my style, I started having my clothes altered and then started making my own clothing. In doing this I created a classic yet modern style of clothing that I could wear in a business or casual setting that I could feel feminine and confident wearing.
