I love Pinterest! My mom would be so sad this declaration of love wasn't for a significant other. Maybe one day... but today I want to talk about Pinterest. Pinterest is where people categorize their wants, needs and secret desires. It has been great for me because I am a visual person, once I get a vision of something that I really like or want into my head, I can focus on achieving it. If I don't have the vision there is not much to keep me going or interested in that thing.
I have started a board on my pinterest wall called "Pins to Reality" Where I re-post my pinterest pins that I have made a part of my reality. It has been great for me to see what I really like and what in the end I will work to achieve. In the past I have felt over whelmed when people would asked me to describe my style on specific things. I remember as a little girl when all my friends would talk about their dream homes or dream weddings I would just listen because I had no vision of what I wanted. It has been nice to look at a variety of things and figure out what I like and then go out and make it happen.
Things I have learned while doing this:
#1. Start small and big changes will happen.
#2. You don't have to have tons of money.
#3. You are developing your own style of what you like and what you don't.
#4. That you can be the person you want to be.
#5. Do it for yourself, no one or nothing is going to make you happy! Happiness is a choice.
Clothing: It is nice to look at things and say "this is me" or "I can appreciate this but not something I would feel comfortable in."

Food: My best friend has a husband who travels for work. When he's gone she will call me up and we will cook one of our favorite food pins from pinterest.

Making my home comfortable and a place of happieness.
Garden: In my mind gardens and gardening sound so great but it wasn't till this year that I finally planted one.
Decorations: I saw this board and thought I could do this.
Bike: For years I have looked at beach cruisers and thought I wanted one. Finally I started a board and after looking at pictures I could see one in my life. I was out to lunch with my boss and we passed a shop with beach cruisers on display and I said "can we stop and look at those" we stopped and I left the shop with a bike in the back of my bosses SUV.
Words and Sayings: I think sometimes you need to see something and read it often for it to finally start being a part of how you think.
